I’ve been giving some thought to my longterm goals as a writer. For the past three years I’ve been chasing dopamine, and that’s well and good, but my longterm goal has always been to be a writer full time. I am a long ways off from doing that, but I would like try my hand at selling books. There are some problems with that, though.
As many of you may have noticed, I don’t do commissions or sell things, and there is a reason for that. I don’t feel right selling lewd content. I got nothing against people who do, obviously, since a lot of them are good friends, but I just have a personal hangup with it. So I’m not sure on a good way forward.
On a COMPLETELY UNRELATED note, I’d like to introduce you to another author friend of mine that I’ve been helping to get set up online, Victor Warrens. Victor is something of an old coot, with tastes and opinions which some would say are identical to my own. He writes very similar to me, and with very similar themes to things that I write. His stories focus less on lewd or kinks than mine, but still have romance, cuddlings, and so forth. They also won’t be just MGE, though there will be monstergirl type romance.
His latest story idea, which I absolutely love, is a comedy fantasy universe, with his inaugural story being about a man who is thrust into the position of Dark Lord when the current one retires. He will be forced to navigate through a crazy world, a mismash of Fantasy realms inspired by (ripped off from) Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Conan, and others.
Victor is shooting for something along the lines of WanTrek in tone and humor, with maybe slightly less lewd and rape. I promised him I wouldn’t be upset if he copied ideas and characters from it. He loves Thisbee and Piett, and so he is working characters similar to them into his story.
So if you want to check out Victor’s site, if you are interested in reading things that I might write if I ever went commercial, then you can find Victor Warrens’ Blog right here. I hope you do, because as crazy as Victor is, he’s at least as good at writing things as I am.
